Cosponsors

UNAIDS brings together the resources of the UNAIDS Secretariat and 10 UN system organisations for coordinated and accountable efforts to unite the world against AIDS.

The Cosponsors and the UNAIDS Secretariat comprise the Committee of Cosponsoring Organisations (CCO), which serves a standing committee of the Programme Coordinating Board (PCB). It is a forum that considers matters of major importance to UNAIDS, and also where Cosponsors provide input to the policies and strategies of UNAIDS.

At the regional level, HIV Advisors within each Cosponsor are members of the Regional AIDS Team for Eastern and Southern Africa (RATESA), chaired by the UNAIDS Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa.
