The media and advocacy center will be designed to provide timely and relevant press and advocacy related information to the audiences of the RST ESA website as well as media parishioners and journalists interested in the AIDS response in Eastern and Southern Africa. It will also be a source of information on advocacy opportunities and serve as a platform showcasing the activities of the UN Special Envoy on AIDS as well as the UNAIDS Special Representative for Eastern and Southern Africa.

The overall purpose of the advocacy and media center is to facilitate regional and local media coverage and mobilize support for the AIDS epidemic in Eastern and Southern Africa.

Media related information will include the following information: press materials, reference documents, regional press contacts, regional UNAIDS co-sponsor media contacts.

Advocacy related information will include the UN Special Envoy on AIDS in Africa, the UNAIDS Special Representative for Eastern and Southern Africa, advocacy opportunities in the region, advocacy tools and advocacy partnerships.
