Toolkit on Planning
This toolkit is an overview of the different aspects involved in planning for an organisation or project. It should enable the user to make a clear distinction between strategic planning and action planning, both of which are dealt with in detail in separate toolkits. It also provides some ideas about techniques to use in planning. It should provide a fairly inexperienced planning team in any organisation with a clear picture of what planning entails, and of how planning links to monitoring and evaluation.
This toolkit is intended to assist UN agencies, funds, and programmes at the country level, as part of the UN system, to improve coordination, coherence and effectiveness of joint activities on HIV and AIDS. In order to enhance progress towards key UN reform initiatives and to support the implementation of the 2001 General Assembly Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, the UN system must continue to harmonise and align operational activities with nationally-determined strategic plans and priorities.
This resource centre provides a number of toolkits, training tools and online courses aimed at organisations and individuals working in the field of HIV and AIDS, as well as researchers, government officials, youth groups and students and civil society representatives.
