UNAIDS, comprised of the UNAIDS Secretariat and its ten Cosponsors, is responsible for developing and advocating for policy and technical guidance on HIV-related issues.

Within this mandate, the Regional Support Team for Eastern and Southern Africa (RST ESA) provides support to UNAIDS Country Offices, while working with regional partners to coordinate and provide programming and technical support to strengthen national responses.
