C01. Retreat of the Joint UN Team on AIDS on UN Reform, UN Country Programming and Joint Programming on HIV and AIDS.

This generic retreat format, intended for members of the Joint UN Team on AIDS, outlines the recommended retreat format and content, including; 1) Skills Building Sessions; 2) Orientation Sessions; 3) Planning Sessions. This generic format is an excellent reference point for the entire toolkit, as it mentions and contextualizes most of the documents included.

C02. SWOT Analysis

This guide and template is an introduction to using the SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). It is intended to be used to identify and assess the relative strengths and weaknesses of the UN agencies based on an agreed-upon division of labor (see Resource C07 below).

These three mapping resources (C04, C05 and C06) facilitate efficient and user-friendly mapping of UN resources � both human and financial � on HIV and AIDS. Used consistently, they can enhance the capacity of UN agencies to track UN country-level resources, give UNCTs a better idea of available resources to support the national response, and create consensus on selection criteria and composition of the Joint UN Team on AIDS.

Underpinned by an analysis of implementation bottlenecks and of comparative advantages of each UNAIDS organization, this document defines 17 broad areas of technical support and identifies a �Lead Organization� and �Main Partners� in each of these areas. This is the official division of Labor approved by all UNAIDS Co-Sponsors at HQ level.
