This presentation shows the diversity of management structures established in Eastern and Southern Africa for the functioning of the Joint UN Teams on AIDS.
(UNAIDS Lesotho, September 2007)
This document is one of the best examples in ESA of agreed upon (by the UNCT) management arrangement for the Joint UN Team on AIDS. It describes in details the institutional mechanisms by which the UN system will deliver on the goals and objectives agreed with the Government of Lesotho as spelled out in UNDAF 2008-2012. It sets out the way in which the UN system in Lesotho team will relate with its constituents as well as with non-UN stakeholders involved in the AIDS response. It also spells out the division of labor among the UN system and identifies staff who would function as the technical leads for different programmatic areas.
This leaflet from Malawi is an example of how to communicate the establishment and rationale of the Joint UN Team on AIDS to the public
This is the 1st Joint UN Programme of Support on AIDS developed and endorsed by a UN country team in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Another good example of a Joint UN Programme of Support on AIDS developed and endorsed by a UN country team in Eastern and Southern Africa.
